We would like to invite you to an afternoon symposium:

Use of large animals in cardiovascular research

at the Royal Veterinary College, Camden Campus on Tuesday 24th June, 2014 13:00 to 17:00.

This afternoon symposium focuses on large animal models of cardiovascular disease. It will examine the current use of large animals in cardiovascular research, recent advances and give a forum to discuss future opportunities.

Speakers include:

Prof Jeremy Pearson;           British Heart Foundation

Prof Dan Brockman;            Royal Veterinary College

Dr Gillian Cockerill;            St George’s University of London

Prof Chris McGregor;          University College London

Prof Ludovic Drouet;          Hôpital Lariboisière, Paris

The symposium will provide an ideal opportunity for networking, aiming to bring together both international authorities in cardiovascular disease and more junior members of both basic and clinical professions.

Refreshments will be provided in the setting of the widely acclaimed Camden Lightwell of The Royal Veterinary College, an academic institution with over 200 years of heritage in veterinary medicine and bioscience.

We would greatly appreciate your support on the day and please could pass this invitation on to any of your colleagues who might be interested in attending.

Registration is free, and can be made by emailing name and institution to: cardiovascularsymposium@rvc.ac.uk
